I love a weekend off and there is nothing better than knowing you have an extra few days off on top of that! Like many of you I'm so ready for a break after such a hectic schedule of late.
Here is a list of my favourite items you need to pack in your overnight bag for your mini getaway!
Facial spray/toner

Using a facial spray or toner not only keeps your skin hydrated but it can also keep your skin PH balanced and free from nasty bacteria. Try the NARS Multi-Action Hydrating Toner (find it here) or the refreshing Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner (found here).
Sun protection
Whether you use a physical or chemical sunscreen consider also covering up with a hat, kaftan and sun umbrella when you are outside and limit your exposure to the harsh sunlight. While you do need your Vitamin D from the sun, according to health experts you only need a 5-10 minutes per day to activate your skin cells to start manufacturing Vitamin D. More than that and you may start to damage or burn your skin.
I'm loving these gorgeous kaftans by Seafolly (you can find them here) they also have some stylish fedoras and beautiful rose gold sunglasses - perfect for that summer holiday you are booking for later this year or for now while the sun is still shining!
Face and under-eye mask
Can't go past these soothing and hydrating masks by Mizon (they are so affordable - you can stock up!). With green tea and hyaluronic acid they are full of skin loving antioxidants and moisture for your dehydrated skin. When you get back from your holiday people will be so jealous of your glowing, hydrated and plumped skin, they will be booking their holidays before you know it!
A great trick a client told me the other day was to pop your under-eye mask in the freezer for 10 minutes before applying. Not only does it refresh and hydrate your under eyes but the cool temperature also helps get rid of puffiness and dark circles! What..??!! Ok. I'm doing this right now as you're reading this. Seriously. Best beauty tip ever.
It's all about that base
My favourite foundation for both sun protection and to even out skin tone is the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser (found here). It boasts light-diffusing pigments so your skin will look brighter, clearer and smoother (bye bye wrinkles and pores!).
I normally skip bronzer if I'm on holidays and just apply a cream blush to my cheeks to bring some colour and a healthy glow to my face. My favourite by far is the Stila Convertible Colour (buy it here).

Lashes baby
Start getting in a good routine with your lashes by treating them to a luxurious conditioning at the same time as helping your lashes grow thicker and stronger with the Talika Lipocils Expert Lash Enhancer or the By Terry Mascara Terrybly. I used the Talika Lipocils after I first got lash extensions and it really helped to grow back my lashes and give them some extra length and volume.
Brow perfection
A quick and easy way to thicken and fill in gaps is with a good brow fibre gel. No need to spend 10 minutes filling in your brows when you're on holiday, right? Try this new one by Hourglass or Maybelline's Brow Precise Fiber Volumizer Eyebrow Gel (you can get it here).
Keep those lips plumped and delicious
My favourite go to lip balm/gloss is the Tinted Lip de Luscious by Mecca Cosmetica (find it here). They have some beautiful subtle colours and it will keep your lips moist and looking delicious!
Hope you all have a fabulous long weekend and get to put your feet up! Or let your hair down!
