5 Mecca must haves - skincare

Many of you have asked me for my favourite items/must haves from Mecca. Well here it goes. I'm starting off with my five favourite skincare products. Keep an eye out for my upcoming posts on must have makeup and haircare products.

1. Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta universal daily peel

I love these as a pre-makeup or pre-serum treatment - it leaves the skin silky smooth and glowing. These daily peels also provide the perfect clean base so when you apply serums and other high-potency treatments they absorb deeper into the skin.

According to Dr Dennis Gross the alpha and beta hydroxy acids give an instant and long term benefit so your skin tone and texture will improve over time. These peel pads also treat wrinkles, fine lines and enlarged pores. Yes please.

2. Dr Dennis Gross Ferulic Retinol eye cream

I used to never wear eye cream thinking it was too expensive and a bit of a gimmick. Now that I'm well into my thirties I've started to come around to it. I noticed an instant improvement and love that it helps my concealer to crease less.

This one by Dr Dennis Gross targets those pesky fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin and uneven skin texture around the eyes. It is super hydrating and smoothing. It is great if you have dry skin and a little bit goes a long way. I recommend letting it sink into the eye area for a few minutes before applying your makeup.

3. Drunk Elephant Beste Jelly Cleanser

Drunk Elephant Beste No 9 Jelly Cleanser

I've been using this cleanser for a few months now and love how it removes makeup and still leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. This jelly cleanser is PH balanced so it won't disrupt the protective barrier on your skin which is definitely a plus in my book!

4. Drunk Elephant C-Firma Serum

Who doesn't want bright and tight skin? Welcome to the world of Vitamin C. This C-Firma Day Serum will help to correct sun damage, increase cell renewal and make your skin look luminous. After spending way too much time in the sun over summer, I love using this Vitamin C serum to repair my skin over winter and help to reduce the pigmentation caused by sun damage. This is an antioxidant packed hydrating serum and definitely worth the investment!

5. Tatcha Water Cream

This moisturiser is one of the best selling products from Tatcha and I can understand why. Not only is it light, great under makeup and seriously hydrating, it is beautifully packaged as well. My skin gets quite oily so using this light moisturiser is perfect as it hydrates but doesn't leave the skin feeling oily and sticky. I've heard that many people with sensitive skin love this as well so it's definitely worth a try. You can get it online here.
